Tegument, July 2012The skin we wear serves many purposes. It protects us from the elements and contains our fragile organs. Our skin, however. also serves a tertiary purpose, it often conceals our true thoughts and opinions, and it helps us to project a public facade. But many people reveal exactly what is on their mind, and they wear their heart on their sleeve. Our skin carries where we’ve been, and you cannot always conceal the mark your environment has left on you. This series looks to explore the personas that we outwardly project to those around us, and the scars that cannot be obscured.
